FAQ

  • What about NHS Speech and Language Therapy?

Anna also works part time for the NHS speech and language therapy service in Bristol as an early years therapist and team leader. As part of the initial assessment she can offer advice on accessing the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire service run by Sirona care & health alongside or instead of independent speech and language therapy.

  • How many sessions will we need?

This will be discussed in your initial assessment as it will vary hugely between children and need. For parent coaching we recommend starting with 6-8 sessions to give you full confidence in implementing the strategies at home but one off parent advice sessions are also available after initial assessment, and longer blocks of coaching can also be agreed.

For direct language or speech sound work, progress will be reviewed in blocks of 6 sessions but the block can be completed sooner if the child reaches their agreed targets before then.

  • Can we discuss my child on the phone?

Yes - get in touch to arrange a free phone call to decide if our services are right for you.
